A Snapshot of What’s Coming to Scotland Shortly

The UK’s largest independent bingo operator, Club 3000 Bingo, were scheduled to open a new ‘luxury bingo hall’ this month, only things haven’t quite gone to plan. A disused bingo hall in Ayrshire, Scotland, was to be the next location for locals to play bingo, bringing much-needed jobs to Kilmarnock. The huge building that once housed rival bingo brands promised to be another “home to big prize money” venue with big bingo jackpots and great value for money sessions, but locals have a little more time to wait before they can dust off those dabbers!

Plans initially submitted scheduled opening for the end of 2021, however, work has yet to begin on breathing new life into an old bingo hall. So why the delay? All we know is work is now scheduled to begin sometime in January with the club delaying opening until Spring. Forty new jobs will be created in the town centre.

No Plans to Stop Now!

Gala Bingo and Buzz Bingo once occupied the building only after the global pandemic, Buzz found themselves in a financial pickle and as a result, they decided to vacate the Kilmarnock venue and 26 other bingo halls around the country, with just one club being saved from closure. Club 3000 Bingo owner, Brian Fraser, started with just one bingo venue in the UK in 2006 and now there are more than 20 up and down the UK. It’s reported £3million will be injected into the new branch in Kilmarnock. If this venue it anything like the many others, it will be vibrant and modern with bars, tea and coffee facilities, a buffet cart and lots of different slot machines.

Brian Fraser commented: “We are delighted to extend our portfolio of clubs to 22 and bring the Club 3000 brand to Kilmarnock. We already have 6 clubs in Scotland including our flagship club in Coatbridge. This is a great venue and community, and we are looking forward to offer customers a fabulous bingo experience in a first-class, modern, and secure environment. We promise something special to look forward to – both for regular bingo lovers and new customers.”
