Justin Bieber celebrates 20th birthday with lavish holiday

According to US Weekly magazine, Justin Bieber (from Canada) got away from his recent legal troubles to celebrate his 20th birthday in The Caves resort on the island of Eleuthera, Bahamas. The $7,000 a night holiday included private villas, a private pool, private beach access and a butler. He reportedly enjoyed three days of birthday celebrations – complete with three birthday cakes – with his parents, siblings and a small group of friends.
Lupita Nyong’o not dating Jared Leto, but may be with rapper K’naan

The Oscar award-winning Lupita Nyong’o (Kenya) has been getting attention for more than just her acting lately. Rumours were flying all awards season that she and similarly feted actor Jared Leto were an item, but Just Jared said that just wasn’t the case. After all, she spent the days and nights following her Oscar win in the arms of Somali-born Canadian rapper K’naan, according to HollywoodLife.com.
Kate Hudson and Matt Belamy might split

It would seem Muse’s Matt Belamy (UK) is losing his, as he and his long-term fiancée, American actress Kate Hudson, are reportedly working to avoid splitting up. They got together in the spring of 2010, and they got engaged a year later. A couple of months after that, the couple welcomed their son Bing into the world. Since then, they carried on a low-key relationship, clearly in no rush to run down the aisle. Now, however, they seem to feel like that was probably for the best, as an “insider” told US Weekly Magazine, “they realized they are in different places in their lives. They grew apart.” Another source added, “it’s not good right now. They’re taking time apart to try to make things work.”
Indeed they are taking time apart, as they haven’t been seen in public together since last year.
Cate Blanchett starred in embarrassing 90s ad
Australian Cate Blanchett has it all: she has an otherworldly beauty, she is a talented (and well-paid) actress, and she just won a boatload of Best Actress gongs. So isn’t it grand to find out that she had to take on some embarrassing commercial work back in the early days? The internet has been having a field day with this ad, but it’s hardly the most embarrassing thing to happen to a celebrity. Still, it is funny.
Joey Essex to be the next Jay Z

OK! Magazine reports that Joey Essex (UK) wants to be the next Jay Z. How did he come to get such lofty ambitions? Well, one way or another, he got a record deal and has recently announced the imminent release of his first album – Joey Essex Presents Essex Anthems. It is a collection of dance tunes to get everyone partying Essex-style, but it clearly awoke a long musical passion that has been lurking in the breast of the reality star. Talking to The Sun, he said, “I might be doing a deal. It’d take me a few years to do big shows… I’ve done things like that but not actually sung… I’ve got the confidence, but it’s actually being able to sing.”
Ultimate Commonwealth Couple Alert! Rihanna and Drake on date in Amsterdam

In perhaps the biggest Commonwealth story since the birth of Prince George (yeah, right), Just Jared reported that Rihanna (Barbados) and Drake (Canada) went on a date in Amsterdam on 6th March. They enjoyed sushi at the Izakaya sushi restaurant, before being papped heading toward Drake’s car. Apparently they are touring around Europe together, but they are keen to take breaks to enjoy romantic dinners. So sweet!
